Matte is a better preferred cosmetic which avoids frosts and glitter, except you want to look like a girly man.

Foundation:
Foundation always helps you to cover imperfections, flaws and pimples. If there is a beard, do not apply them as it tends to look inconsistent and leaves unwanted residue on whiskers. If facial hair is present, use a concealer as an alternative to make spots and blemishes hidden.

There are larger pores for most of the men than women. So they clog up easier. Oil-based foundation likely will help to breakouts and zits. So better prefer for the one which is water-based and thin. Apply it moderately for the one application only. Blending is of crucial importance. To avoid lines that give telltale signs to your makeup, rub along the hairline and neck.

Tinted Moisturizer:
If feeling disgusted in wearing foundation, go for a tinted moisturizer. It softens skin after shaving and adds a touch of color or tan. If a brand for guys cannot be found, look in for the women’s section, but be sure to find the one which adds shine or sparkles to your skin. First have a look at basic moisturizer with a light tint and no frills. Search one that will better compliment the skin tone, but do not change it.

Powder:
To look shiny and clammy, stand in bright lights and warm temperatures because it has a tendency to do it. For those who work on stage or a photo shoot, powder plays a crucial role, because it takes away from the shine. To have a natural look, go towards the front direction for the foundation and wear powder only. While applying the powder, concentrate on the areas which are the more shining (forehead, nose, and chin).

The famous options for powder include pressed (in a compact) and loose. Pressed powder comes with a powder puff (for lack of better term) to have easy application. Loose powder will be better applied with a large makeup brush, which is, very often, not included. These powders are available in different shades of color, or even translucent.

Guy liner/Eyeliner:
If gothic look is preferred, eyeliner should be worn to make it effective. If you have a masculine face, then apply it lightly.

Make use of a black eye pencil to draw a suitable line underneath your lower eyelashes. For having a more natural look blend in the edges. If the lashes are light or blonde black mascara to match. If it is a pale skin, modulate it down and opt for the dark brown or brownish/black eyeliner. Never overdo it as it will have a messy look instead of appealing look.

If less dramatic features are preferred, make use of the eye pencil to fill in spaces between the eyelashes. To appear thicker and fuller, this is better preferred. When you have satisfied with your tips and have become good in following it, you can refer anyone about your tips

Makeup Tips For Teens

<img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px;

The biggest mistake often committed by people is they choose both eyes and mouth. While applying makeup you have to opt only either for eye or mouth.

If you are opting for lips, always try to opt for red lipstick and not for the brown one as the older ones only used to have it. Red is always preferred for the proms and it is hot for the proms.

While choosing red lipsticks, be confident whether your eyes makeup is soft and simple. The lips are to be hydrated with beeswax or lip balm to give a better look. This is done because lipstick looks so nice on hydrated lips.

While opting for eyes, check with liner, shadow mascara and even false eyelashes and go with it but make a note whether you have stick with light lips covered with a light gloss. Smoky eyes have always been a great look for the proms.

To have a natural look always prefer the golden eye shadow and apply it from the inner to the outer corner of the upper lid until the crease .using a brown pencil the upper eyelid is marked and smudge it softly with a cotton bud to have deepness in the eyes.

Using a special brush, do the similar procedure for mascara to comb your eyebrows. Apply mascara primarily to tip of lashes and move on to the roots in a zigzag manner to have an even appearance. The texture of mascara should not be too dense to prevent the sticking of lashes together.

The Perfect Skin Tone :
The most important thing than your makeup is perfecting your skin tone. Perfecting your skin tone means you should not have a look that you have went for a makeup. If your skin is having acne or uneven skintone, you have to mould up with concealer and foundation.

Foundation :

It is just the foundation how better you use while applying an oil free cleaning/hydrating lotion on the entire surface of the face and down the neck.

It plays a safety role in having a hydrated complexion

To avoid the flat look, cover foundations only on the areas of discolored and the blemishing area .always goes for a foundation that fits to your skin and combines them perfectly along the line.

Apply concealer along the eyes such that it should be well smudged. Do this with a larger brush dust on some powder to set the concealer.Leave it free till applying eye shadow.

Note Before Posing for a Snap : Be sure your lipstick is applied linearly and always have a mirror before going for a pose. Never forget to apply powder for the oily areas like forehead, chin and nose before giving a pose. It is better preferred to keep blotting papers in the bag or your wallet. Always try to give a pose such that your look is ten pounds thinner from the original.

International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day (IND) is celebrated around the world every 12 May. This day is celebrated to remember all of the valuable contributions nurses make to society.

Background

The International Council of Nurses (ICN) has celebrated this day since 1965. In 1953 Dorothy Sutherland, an official with the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, had proposed that then-President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaim a "Nurses Day," but he did not approve it

In January 1974, the decision was made to celebrate the day on 12 May as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing. Each year, ICN prepares and distributes the International Nurses' Day Kit. The kit contains educational and public information materials, for use by nurses everywhere.

As Florence Nightingale is no longer seen as a role model in some parts of the world, demands have arisen, for example by the British public sector union UNISON, to transfer this day on another date. 21 May, the birthday of Elizabeth Fry (1780-1845), has been suggested. Elizabeth Fry founded the Institution of Nursing Sisters and is also known for her work with prisoners.

As of 1998, 8 May was designated as National Student Nurses Day, to be celebrated annually. And as of 2003, National School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week (6-12 May) each year.

UK celebrations

Each year on 12 May service is held in Westminster Abbey in London. During the Service, a symbolic Lamp is taken from the Nurses' Chapel in the Abbey and handed from one nurse to another, thence to the Dean, who places it on the High Altar. This signifies the passing of knowledge from one nurse to another. At St Margaret's Church at East Wellow in Hampshire, where Florence Nightingale is buried, a service is also held on the Sunday after her birthday.

Themes

ICN themes for International Nurses Day:

1988 - Safe Motherhood

1989 - School Health

1990 - Nurses and Environment

1991 - Mental Health - Nurses in Action

1992 - Healthy Aging

1993 - Quality, costs and Nursing

1994 - Healthy Families for Healthy Nation

1995 - Women's Health: Nurses Pave the Way

1996 - Better Health through Nursing Research

1997 - Healthy Young People = A Brighter Future

1998 - Partnership for Community Health

1999 - Celebrating Nursing's Past, claiming the future

2000 - Nurses - Always there for you

2001 - Nurses, Always There for You: United Against Violence

2002 - Nurses Always There for You: Caring for Families

2003 - Nurses: Fighting AIDS stigma, working for all

2004 - Nurses: Working with the Poor; Research shows that frequent short bouts of exercise have cumulative effects, and a bunch of fitness bursts confer almost the same health and weight-loss benefits as one longer session. Here are 25 innovative ways you can fit many minutes of exercise into your day--a few at a time!

1. Don't Drive to Work. Park your car at the location of a stop you want to make after work--post office, coffee house, bagel shop--rather than at your own workplace. Hoof it to work, then back to your after-work spot. If the force is with you, your car will be where you left it. Alternative: leave your car where it's easy to find parking, even if--especially if--it's a mile or two away from work.

2. Stand and Deliver. You'll feel less tired and your brain will work better if you stand as much as possible while you work or study. Take "standing breaks" at least every hour and work standing up, if possible, for 5-10 minutes. You'll burn 25% more calories. Don't lean over your desk, though--find tasks that let you stay upright, like returning phone calls, reading or jotting notes using a clipboard. If you pace as you work, you'll burn almost four times as many calories as sitting.

3. Phone Push Ups. Each time you make a phone call, do push ups against the desk while you wait for the person to answer. If you don't have a speaker phone, do one-armed push ups. Change arms with each call.

4. Jog Online. Use those annoying down times when you're waiting for a printing file or a slow-loading Web page and get up and jog, dance, or march.

5. Burn 'Em, Don't Eat 'Em. Skip the pastries and get outside. Walk around the block as briskly as possible. You'll energize physically and mentally, and do better work when you get back. At a 4 MPH pace, you can burn 100 calories in 15 minutes.

6. Pump Rubber. Keep Dyna Bands (stretchy latex resistance bands that work your muscles as though they're lifting weights) at work. Step on the bands and do five minutes of shrugs, squats, upright rows and lateral raises. These will wind you up better than caffeine.

7. Skip a Step. Surely you already take the stairs, not the elevator. Pump up the intensity by taking the stairs two at a time.

8. Lunge the Stairs. Do lunges up a flight of stairs. (Do not try this on the return trip down!)

9. Grin and Bear It. Offer to lift and/or carry anything that needs moving--change the water jug at the cooler, move in the new printer and carry out the old, fetch cartons of supplies for your office-mates--whatever's needed. Your co-workers will think you're Ms. or Mr. Helpful, and you'll get your exercise.

10. Drive Not Thru. Give up drive-thru windows. Park the car and walk to the bank. Even better, park in some other bank's parking lot and walk to yours.

11. Be a Bag Boy or Bag Lady. Forget rolling the grocery cart to your car. Pick up your bags and carry them. Help some elderly shoppers by carrying their bags (with their permission). If you do use a shopping cart, return it to the store from the parking lot, and pick up any additional carts you find on the way.

12. Shop Till You Drop. Park your car at your last errand, not your first, so you won't be tempted to drive from one spot to the next. If you're half-way through your errands and already carrying plenty of packages, make a detour to your car, park the parcels, then jog to the next errand on your list.

13. Ab Alert. Do isometric abdominal intervals anytime, anywhere you stand or sit. Contract your abs six times slowly (6-second rep), then six times quickly (2-second rep), then six times super-slowly (10-second rep), and repeat.

14. Subtle Butt. Isometrically contract your gluteals (rear end muscles) any time you're stuck waiting--in the post office line, at the dentist's office, wherever. You can do these sitting or standing, but if you're wearing tight jeans and the person behind you winks or grins, you may be attracting more attention than you think.

15. Crunch Each Room. Before you eat dinner, do ten abdominal crunches in every room of the house. If you have roommates, warn them first.

16. Walk a Dog. If you don't have your own, offer to walk the neighbor's dog. The neighbor will owe you a favor, and you'll burn calories, more if your dog is young, speedy and determined. Social advantage for singles: Potential dates who won't look at you in a bar will melt and make a fuss over your handsome pooch.

17. Just Do Two. So you don't have time for a full-body strength-training workout--no problem. While dinner cooks, choose one muscle group and its opposing group, and train them with free weights or DynaBands.

18. Fling Your Feet. Pull away from the TV in the evening and go dancing. Pick a hot spot where dancing wins over drinking. Depending on tempo, type and intensity, an hour of social dancing burns 230-390 calories--get out there!

19. Work the House. If you must stay home, turn on some fast-paced, motivating music and do some useful physical work. Rearrange the furniture. Turn the mattress. Pack up books and magazines to donate to the local library or hospital. Clean out the garage or that closet of clothes that were in style when you graduated from high school.

20. TV Circuit Training. Work out to your favorite TV program. Dance or jog while the program is on. During commercials, drop down for pushups or crunches on the rug.

21. Phone Sprints. When the phone rings, don't reach for the closest extension. Run for the one farthest away, preferably up or down a flight of stairs. Set the answering machine to pick up in four rings so you have to hurry.

22. Letter Aerobics. Guilty because you owe letters to countless friends and family members? Audio tape letters instead of writing them. Get on the exercise bike, treadmill or stair machine with your tape recorder in hand, and tape your news and views. More fun than laborious writing, lets you accomplish two things at once.

23. Take a Date Hike. Plan a hike and a picnic lunch at a romantic spot at the beach or in the woods. Carry all the gear yourself.

24. Curb Your Calves. Anytime you have to wait on the street for a bus, cab, street light or person, do extra-slow calf raises on the curb: let your heels hang off the edge, and contract your calves to lift to tiptoes, 4 seconds up and 4 seconds down. Tighten abs and buttocks to help you balance, so you don't have to grab a sign post.

25. Study on the Hoof. Having trouble justifying leaving your house to exercise, because you have a report to prepare, or a manual your boss said you had to read by Monday? Read the notes you have to study or brainstorm into a tape recorder. Take that taped info with you into the wilderness, and repeat the information as you listen and hike. Your mind will be more alert so you'll think better and learn faster. And the scenery beats the wall in front of your desk.

STRETCHING ROUTINES Every Day Activities

These are stretching routines that can help you in dealing with muscular tension & tightness of every day life. I wanted to drive home the point that you don’t need any fancy equipment to get a great workout. You don’t have to waste time driving to the gym, waiting in line for the equipment that you want to use, and then drive home again. You don’t need to waste money on gym memberships. And you don’t need a whole lot of time either, to get an effective workout. All you need is a little creativity and a lot of heart and desire.

The journey to optimal health is never ending. I encourage you to stick with it, never give
up and keep climbing to the top of the mountain.

Diet to stay fit , slim & Healthy

If you are overweight, then, you would have to look after your health more carefully and see to it that you maintain a healthy lifestyle to enjoy the benefits of good health and fitness.

Are you ready to improve your lifestyle and eating habits and become more fit, improve your shape and lose the extra pounds

Are you looking for the strongest fat burners? Are you looking for such natural fat burners that are very strong and yet do not cause harmful side-effects?

If that is so, then read on further...

In this report, I will mention a few of the strongest fat burners that burn fat naturally without harmful side effects.

There are many such foods that are very strong fat burners. In fact you can find some of the strongest fat burners in common foods that we eat and enjoy everyday. It is just that we were unaware of the benefits of these foods.

Characteristics of Good Dieting Program:

Many people gain weight because of eating the wrong kinds of foods. If you eat the proper kinds of foods in the right way, then you can stay slim and healthy. Knowledge is very important here. It is the first step. By reading this report you can gain knowledge of some of the strongest fat burners.

Do you know that you can never get rid of fat cells, but – unfortunately – you can add to them. Depending upon what you eat, your body will manufacture new fat cells. And like those you were born with, they never go away.

That doesn't mean you're doomed to be fat once you put on extra pounds. It is possible to shrink fat cells.

A good weight loss program requires a certain amount of intake restriction – the consumption of fewer calories. You burn off the fat by eating less fat and becoming more active.

If you eat fat burning foods they can help you burn away the excess fat so that you can find it easier to stay slim and lean.

Below is given a list of fat burning foods. Try to include them in your diet as much as possible on a regular basis. They give your body the extra metabolic kick that it needs to shave off
weight quickly.

The list of natural strongest fat burners is:

Apples:

An average size apple provides only 81 calories and does not contain sodium or saturated fat.

In addition to this, apples can help in lowering cholesterol level in your blood as well as blood pressure.

Whole Grain Bread:

You needn't dread bread. It's the butter, margarine or cream cheese you put on it that's fattening, not the bread itself. Bread is a natural source of fiber and complex carbohydrates, and is okay for dieting.

Studies at Michigan State University show some breads actually reduce the appetite. The dark high-fiber bread can actually make you feel less hungry and cause you to lose pounds if taken on regular basis. Eat dark, rich, high-fiber breads such as pumpernickel, whole wheat, mixed grain, oatmeal and others

3. Grapefruit:

It helps dissolve fat and cholesterol. An average sized grapefruit has 74 calories, delivers a whopping 15 grams of pectin (the special fiber linked to lowering cholesterol and fat), is high in vitamin C and potassium and is free of fat and sodium.

4.Mustard:

Dr. Jaya Henry of Oxford Polytechnic Institute in England, found that the amount of hot mustard normally called for in Mexican, Indian and Asian recipes, about one teaspoon, temporarily speeds up the metabolism, just as caffeine and the drug ephedrine do.

Mustard is natural and safe unlike ephedrine etc.

5. Soups:

Don't go for the canned varieties from the store. But the homemade soups can be good for weight and fat loss.

6. Spinach:

Spinach has the ability to lower cholesterol, rev up the metabolism and burn away fat. It can be a very good natural fat burner and quite strong too.

7. Barley:

This filling grain stacks up favorably to rice and potatoes. It has 170 calories per cooked cup, respectable levels of protein and fiber and relatively low fat. Roman gladiators ate this grain regularly for strength

8. Beans:

Beans are one of the best sources of plant protein. Most common beans have 215 calories per cooked cup. They have the most protein with the least fat of any food, and they're high in potassium but low in sodium. So they can be good and strong fat burners.

9. Berries:

They can be the perfect weight loss food. They have natural fructose which satisfies your urge for having sweets. They also contain sufficient fiber to to absorb calories.

10. Cabbage:

This is really a wonder food. There are only 33 calories in a cup of cooked shredded cabbage, and it retains all its nutritional goodness no matter how long you cook it.

Eating cabbage just once per week can help in protection against colon cancer.

11. Carrots:

Which list of fat fighting foods can be complete without the honorable mention of carrots?

A medium-sized carrot carries about 55 calories and is a nutritional powerhouse. The orange color comes from beta carotene, a powerful cancer-preventing nutrient (provitamin A).

Conclusion:

I hope you have enjoyed the above list of strongest fat burners. Unfortunately, your regular sleep positions may no longer work for you during pregnancy. There are a number of reasons that cause this new discomfort, but there are some positions that you can try that may help you get your much needed rest.

Side laying is encouraged for a sleeping postion during pregnancy. When you are pregnant your body goes through a variety of changes. These changes tend to disrupt your usual peaceful slumber. Reasons may include:

* Increased size of abdomen
* Back pain
* Heartburn
* Shortness of breath
* Insomnia

What are the best sleep positions?

The best sleep position during pregnancy is "SOS" (sleep on side). Even better is to sleep on your left side. Sleeping on your left side will increase the amount of blood and nutrients that reach the placenta and your baby. Keep your legs and knees bent and a pillow between your legs.

* If you find that you are having problems with back pain, use the "SOS" position and try placing a pillow under your abdomen as well.
* If you are experiencing heartburn during the night, you may want to try propping your upper body with pillows.
* In late pregnancy you may experience shortness of breath; try lying on your side or propped up with pillows.

These suggestions may not sound completely comfortable, especially if you are used to sleeping on your back or stomach, but try them out and you may find that they work. Keep in mind that you may not stay in one position all night and rotating positions is fine.
What positions should I avoid?

Sleeping on your back: This can cause problems with backaches, breathing, digestive system, hemorrhoids, low blood pressure and decrease in circulation to your heart and your baby. This is a result of your abdomen resting on your intestines and major blood vessels (the aorta and vena cava).

Sleeping on your stomach: When you are farther along in your pregnancy, your abdomen undergoes physical changes and makes it more difficult for you to lay on your stomach.

Back Pain and Comfortable Sleeping Positions

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_J2yly1GwyLQ/Se38EnRxooI/AAAAAAAAAn8/OAL_qsAG03Q/s400/backpainsleep10.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327191090442379906" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 218px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_J2yly1GwyLQ/Se37-6e-ZzI/AAAAAAAAAn0/Bt44ha8G-kI/s400/backpainsleep11.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327190992518801202" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J2yly1GwyLQ/Se374PrGUGI/AAAAAAAAAns/k5-z3ZtfoAU/s400/backpainsleep12.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327190877947711586" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 185px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_J2yly1GwyLQ/Se37ubtF5nI/AAAAAAAAAnk/PgZkIyWFs8g/s400/backpainsleep13.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327190709378606706" />

PICTURE 1
Using pillows to support areas of your back where spinal curves are located may help to avoid or minimize back pain while you sleep.
Use with pillowing so that you can avoid straining your vertebral joints. This will help you to relax, so you can fall asleep and stay asleep.
Pillow support may be needed in the curves of your spine, such as your lower back and neck. While spinal curves are natural, they are areas that lack support when lying down. So check your curves and see if you can't help them by supporting them with pillows.

PICTURE 2
By providing support to your back and neck during sleep, you may be able to avoid or minimize back pain.
Here the model is supporting her hip joint by putting a pillow between her knees. This raises her top leg and will allow the muscles around her hip joint to relax.
She has also placed a pillow support in the space between the bed and her waist. This will take strain off her low back.
She has positioned her head and neck comfortably on her pillow.

PICTURE 3
Use a pillow under your knees to take strain off your lower back. This may help you avoid back pain.
Using a pillow under the knees takes the strain off hips and the lower back area. With a pillow under the knees, the hips do not have to work very hard to support the weight of the legs. Also, the pelvic position is neutralized, which relaxes the lower back.
Without the pillowing between the knees, the hips can become strained and the low back arched beyond normal.

PICTURE4
Pillows under the legs may help reduce or eliminate low back strain and subsequent back pain.
As in the previous picture, pillows under the legs can help take strain off the lower back. In this picture the model has provided pillow support all the way down to the ankles. This is a matter of comfort. Experiment to find out how much pillowing you need under your legs to take strain off your low back and reduce or eliminate back pain.
<img width='1'
